STABILIZERS
STABILIZERS
Coldstab Cel
LGA-20
Carboxymethylcellulose (CMC) solution that stabilizes white and rose wine by
preventing tartrate precipitation. 10% solution with high stabilizing strength;
does not impact the filterability of a wine when used according to instructions.
20% liquid gum Arabic colloidal solution derived from the solubilization of the
gum Arabic of the most selected varieties of the acacia tree.
• Ready to use.
• Highly concentrated to reduce dosing rate required.
• TTB limits addition of pure CMC to 0.8 lbs/1000 gallons (0.1g/L), so 8.34 lbs/1000 gallons
(1g/L) of Coldstab Cel.
Application: Add directly to wine while mixing.
Recommended Dosage: 4–8 lb/1000 gal (50–100 g/hL)
Packaging: 25 kg
Coldstab 40
Acts as a protective colloid to mask crystallization “germs” to inhibit the
formation of macro crystals and prevent them from precipitating. Intended for
use on wines immediately before bottling to ensure chemical-physical stability.
Can also be used on wines during cold stabilization to complete stabilizing.
• Hydrolyzed and sterile filtered (0.45 micron membrane filtered) through an exclusive process to
ensure it will not plug bottling line membranes.
• With its electropositive charge, can be used as a colloidal protector to prevent haze formation
due to instabilities while stabilizing color.
• Enhances body and structure and increases roundness on the palate.
• Inhibits formation and precipitation of tartrate crystals.
Application: Add prior to final filtration.
Recommended Dosage: 1–10 lb/1000 gal (10–100 g/hL)
Packaging: 25 kg, 200 kg
LGA-30
30% liquid gum Arabic colloidal solution derived from the solubilization of the
gum Arabic of the most selected varieties of the acacia tree.
• Sterile filtered twice through an exclusive process to ensure it will not plug bottling line membranes.
• Advanced technology allows the production of a particularly pure lactide that is odorless and
colorless in solution.
• With its electropositive charge, can be used as a colloidal protector to prevent haze formation
due to instabilities while stabilizing color.
• Inhibits the formation of tartrates and bitartrates.
• Enhances body and structure and increases roundness on the palate.
• Available in Canada and Mexico only—not approved for use in wine in the U.S.
• Inhibits formation and precipitation of tartrate crystals.
Application: Use on wines immediately prior to bottling.
Application: Add prior to final filtration.
Recommended Dosage: 0.83 lb /1000 gal. max (10 g/hL max)
Recommended Dosage: 1–6 lb/1000 gal (10–70 g/hL)
Packaging: 1 kg
Packaging: 25 kg, 200 kg
Coldstab Color
Puri-Bent
Granulated gum Arabic that protects white and rose wine against both tartaric
and color instability with no need to chill. Can also be used as a colloidal
protector, preventing haze formation due to instabilities
Pure, highly refined bentonite obtained from highest-quality montmorillonite clay.
while stabilizing color.
• Will not plug bottling line membranes.
• Extraordinary adsorption properties and high swelling capacity ensures lowest possible
dosage rates.
• Acts by removing proteins and polyhydric phenols.
• Recommended for use in all musts or wines.
• Hydrolyzed and sterile filtered (0.45 micron membrane), then granulated through an
exclusive process.
Application: Add at any stage of the winemaking process to achieve
protein stability.
Application: Add directly to wine.
Packaging: 25 kg
Recommended Dosage: 2–8 lb/1000 gal (25–100 g/hL)
Recommended Dosage: 1–4 lb/1000 gal (10–50 g/hL)
Packaging: 1 kg, 10 kg
Fermo-Casein
Potassium-caseinate-based fermentation aid designed to produce wines that
are stable from all standpoints: catechins, proteins and polyphenols.
• Absorbs oxidizable polyphenols and stabilizes proteins in must.
• Electrostatically charged cellulose fibers improve the action of bentonite and adsorb fatty acids
produced by the yeast during stressful fermentations.
Application: Add to tanks once fermentation has started.
Recommended Dosage: 1–4 lb/1000 gal (10–50 g/hL)
Packaging: 20 kg
